The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) has notified the City of Kissimmee that it will receive an allocation of $426,609 to prevent and respond to the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID19).

City Kicks Off Business Assistance Program by Waiving Building Permit Fees Starting on Friday, May 1
To provide immediate financial relief to the City of Kissimmee residents and businesses during the COVID-19 health crisis, the City will waive all permitting, plan review, and inspections fees related to Building Permits within City limits starting on Friday, May 1, 2020, for the next 120-days.
On April 2, 2020, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed Executive Order 20-94, placing restrictions on any eviction or foreclosure within the State for at least 45 days.
The City will no longer be accepting new applications for rental assistance and is announcing a submission deadline of 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 4 for those individuals who have partially completed their application.
