    The City of Kissimmee Parks and Recreation department will be offering a “No School” Youth Field Trip on Friday, January 15, 2016 from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., as school is out of session in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. The City will be taking students on a field trip to the Kennedy Space Center.

The 58-entry procession led Santa and Mrs. Claus aboard their sleigh as they travelled through the historic streets of Downtown Kissimmee and concluded with a special Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Monument of States.

    The City of Kissimmee Parks and Recreation Department is offering Holiday Camp from Monday, December 21 to Thursday, December 31 for students ages five thru 13. Campers will meet at the Berlinsky Community House located at 300 East Monument Avenue at the Kissimmee Lakefront Park for seven days of fun activities and field trips.

    City of Kissimmee Commissioner Jose Alvarez has been appointed to the National League of Cities (NLC) 2016 Transportation Infrastructure & Services committee. Families were identified through local social service agencies and invited to receive a turkey and all the fixings to be prepared in the comfort of their own homes this Thanksgiving.

    The City of Kissimmee will be partnering with Sedanos Supermarkets for the 4th year to help those in need during this holiday season. Thanksgiving Day meals will be distributed to 150 needy families so they can enjoy the opportunity to cook a full meal with their families compliments of Sedanos on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Kissimmee City Hall.
