The Fleet Division currently stocks more than 700 different items, totaling more than $60,000. These items are housed in the City's inventoried parts room.

The parts room is staffed by two employees. They are responsible for a variety of duties, such as inventory, e-mail notifications, Fleet job order maintenance, and PM scheduling.

The employees are also responsible for Fleet requisitions, Fleet invoice processing, Toho Water Authority billing, receiving new vehicles and equipment, tag processing, vehicle and equipment accident processing, vehicle recall management, cost reports, customer service support, ordering of bulk oils, and administrative duties.

The parts department is also responsible for issuing specialty tools. All specialty tools are kept in the parts room and must be logged in and out by the mechanics in order to maintain tool inventory. This has eliminated the problem of having lost or missing tools.
