Home or Business Security Survey
A community service officer will conduct a comprehensive security survey of your home or business and point out weaknesses that could be exploited by a thief to steal your property. In addition, the officer will provide recommendations to address these problem areas. To contact a community service officer about a home or business security survey click here.
The department strongly recommends that residents engrave identifying markings on your property as a deterrant to theft. This can also aid in the recovery of your property if it is stolen. A community service officer will show you how to mark your property so police officers can quickly identify the owner of the property if it is ever stolen. Forms to record a list of your property can be obtained from the department.
