Deputy Chief Daniel Schad
Deputy Chief Daniel Schad leads the Operational Services Bureau at the Kissimmee Police Department. Formerly a Captain with the Orlando Police Department, D.C. Schad joined the Kissimmee Police Department in January of 2018.
He manages the Criminal Investigation Division, Patrol Division, and the Special Operations Division.
This Division is dedicated to the continued investigation of crimes in the Kissimmee community, as well as analyzing crime trends, and maintaining the safety and security of our local schools.
Major Crimes Unit
This Unit investigates crimes against people including (but not limited to) sex crimes, homicides, robberies, child abuse and domestic violence.
This Unit investigates crimes involving the theft of personal or business property as well as investigate fraud complaints.
Crime Analysis & Intelligence Unit
This Unit works to analyze crime trends facing the Kissimmee community.
The School Resource Officers are focused on providing safety and security to school campuses and students.
The Victim Advocate is an essential member of our Criminal Investigations Division. She/He works directly with detectives and victims of crime to help ensure people in crisis get the help they need.
Several Officers are assigned to work on specialty assignments with various state and national agencies in an effort to reduce and prevent crime throughout Central Florida.
Captain Jeffrey Tambasco has been with the Kissimmee Police Department since 1997. He possesses a Master of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and is a graduate of the Southern Police Institute Command Officer Development Course.

This Unit is comprised of Police Officers who partner with police dogs specifically trained to help locate and apprehend suspects as well as detect illegal substances, such as narcotics or explosives.
Community Service Officers
Community Service Officers are civilian responders who assist the Police Department by providing support in crime prevention, investigations, victim advocacy, and assistance in responding to calls for service.
Park Rangers work to protect and supervise various City owned outdoor areas including parks and recreation facilities.
Captain Wilson Munoz has been with the Kissimmee Police Department for nearly 20 years. During his time, Captain Munoz has worked in every Division and also serves as the Department's Crisis Negotiation Team Commander.
This Unit proactively works with community partners, neighborhood watch groups, and the business watch to provide resources and education on crime prevention.
Street Crimes Unit
This Unit is a special investigative unit focused on street level crimes. They work together with the Criminal Investigations Division and Patrol Division to target crimes involving but not limited to narcotics, burglary trends, and sex trafficking.
This Unit focuses on traffic issues in our community and investigates traffic homicides. They also manage the red-light-camera enforcement unit and the parking enforcement unit.
An Officer from this Division is assigned to work with a Federal Agency in an effort to reduce and prevent crime throughout Central Florida.
This Bureau is a multi-agency task force dedicated to upper-level crime throughout Osceola County. It is comprised of law enforcement agents from the Kissimmee Police Department, St. Cloud Police Department, Osceola County Sheriff's Office, and the Ninth Judicial Circuit State Attorney's Office.

Deputy Chief Betty Holland
Deputy Chief Betty Holland leads the Administrative Services Bureau at the Kissimmee Police Department. Formerly a Captain with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, D.C. Holland joined our department in March of 2018.
DC Holland manages the Professional Standards Section and Support Services Division.
This Unit is responsible for collecting, processing, and maintaining evidence from crime scenes.
The Communication Unit, and its members are the first line of communication between the community and first responders. Those who work in this Section are responsible for answering all 911 and non-emergency calls placed to the Kissimmee Police Department.
This Department is responsible for receiving, capturing, maintaining, and properly disposing of reports and recorded materials pertaining to interactions with law enforcement agents.
This Unit is comprised of three positions: The Fiscal Specialist, Quartermaster, and Off-Duty Detail Coordinator.
Captain Brandon Layne leads the Support Services Division. Captain Layne has served with the Kissimmee Police Department for the last 22 years and serves as the SWAT Team Commander.
This Section is focused on providing updated education and training as well as ensuring the agency members are maintaining department standards.
This Unit is responsible for reviewing both internal and external complaints of employees of the Kissimmee Police Department.
This Unit is focused on providing the most comprehensive, up-to-date training to law enforcement and other members of the Kissimmee Police Department.
This individual is responsible for maintaining the Agency’s fleet of vehicles.
This Unit holds the agency accountable to professional law enforcement standards which improves the delivery of public safety services.

Public Information Officer
The Public Information Officer serves as a media liaison for the Department. Her/His goal is to keep the community informed of current events, programs and news in Kissimmee.
