The City of Kissimmee School of Government is a program designed to provide residents with a first hand look at their City government.

For more information, please call 407.518.2314 or send an e-mail to

This free program is open to residents, 18 years old or older, who live or own a business within the City of Kissimmee limits. Each week residents learn about different City departments through a series of hands-on activities, demonstrations, and/or tours.

The program runs for nine consecutive Thursday evenings from 5:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m.

Since its inception in the Spring of 2000, more than 200 residents have graduated from the program. Some of the graduates have filled positions on the City's advisory boards and volunteer committees.

This civic education program, coordinated by the City's Communications & Public Affairs Office, is an effort to explain Kissimmee's form of government and enlighten residents about the daily operations and services provided on the local government level.
