When an industry boasts job opportunities with good paying base salaries it’s a no brainer to make it a priority to bring them to our community. That is exactly what the aerospace industry offers and that’s why the City of Kissimmee launched the Aerospace Advancement Initiative (AAI). The purpose of AAI is to position the City of Kissimmee in a more competitive manner by offering economic incentives that encourage investors and businesses to locate at or near Kissimmee Gateway Airport.

A Quick Start

Since the launch of AAI just over a month ago, the program has already seen its first success. “Know 2 Solutions”, which specializes in global satellite communications and internet connectivity, will be building a 28,000-square foot corporate complex at the Business Airpark at Kissimmee Gateway Airport. This construction will include a 20,000-square foot hanger and 8,000 square feet of office space. Construction is expected to start in the upcoming months and is estimated to be a $4.5 million investment.

Growing Educational and Job Opportunities

At their location within Kissimmee Gateway Airport, “Know 2 Solutions” will offer rapid prototyping, custom engineering, and integration for customer aircraft. They will staff 25 individuals with a company average wage that exceeds $75,000. These high wage opportunities combined with the access to aerospace industry training make the City of Kissimmee a great place to live, study, and work. Go to the Kissimmee Gateway Airport website for more information including training and job opportunities.
