Kissimmee has [a lot] going for it - it borders Lake Tohopekaliga, one of the largest lakes in the state [and] a recent $34 million renovation to the lakefront includes scenic walkways, shaded viewing areas, and an expanded marina. The calm waters create lovely landscapes and support a diversity of wildlife."
The "8 Lovely Lake Cities" article also features Branson, MO; Gainesville, GA; Georgetown, TX; Kalispell, MT; Lakewood/Puyallup, WA; St. Tammany Parish, LA; and Sevierville, TN.
