CITY OF KISSIMMEE PREPARES TO ROCK N’ ROLL ON JULY 4TH
KISSIMMEE, Fla. (June 11, 2007)—The City of Kissimmee will host its July Fourth Celebration on Wednesday, July 4, 2007, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Kissimmee’s Lakefront Park. The free event will feature a concert by Eddie Money. The fanfare and fireworks display will light up the night sky over Big Lake Toho, immediately following the concert.
The public is welcome to bring food and beverages into Lakefront Park, but coolers are subject to a search. Personal barbecues, fireworks and alcoholic beverages ARE NOT PERMITTED. There are barbecue grills in the park and beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks will be sold in the beer garden from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. You must be at least 21 and present a valid and acceptable ID to enter the beer garden. No beverages may be brought into or taken out of the beer garden. Local restaurants will cater the event and free snow cones, slides, and an interactive kid’s area will be sponsored by KUA.
A wristband can be purchased for $5 bleacher seating for the concerts and fireworks display. Seating is limited and can only be purchased at the event on July 4th.
The City will provide a free bus shuttle service from 4:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. departing from the Albertson’s at Town Corral Plaza in Kissimmee, located on the corner of John Young Parkway and Highway 192. Paid parking will be available at the Kissimmee Civic Center.
