The Kissimmee Police Traffic Enforcement Unit is responsible for many traffic related law enforcement functions including dignitary and focused radar and intensified traffic enforcement.
The Traffic Enforcement Unit continues to make our roads safer by performing selective traffic enforcement programs. These programs include the following:
• Click It or Ticket
• Stop Red Light Running Campaigns
• Red Light Cameras
• Stop Gridlock
The Traffic Unit, which includes the motor unit, also participates in all community parades.
The Traffic Unit is fortunate to receive additional support from the Parking Enforcement Officers who enforce parking violations throughout the City limits.
The Traffic Unit utilizes tips from citizens to determine what areas of the community need increased traffic enforcement.

The Traffic Enforcement Unit Sergeant also oversees the School Resource Officers.
The Kissimmee Police Department's Traffic Enforcement Unit is not responsible for adding traffic calming devices throughout the City. Traffic calming devices are stop signs, speed bumps and rumble strips.
