Economic development incentives are provided to assist with job growth within our community, as well as assist with positive development opportunities in stagnant areas. Incentives range from cash, near cash and value equivalent in-kind support.
Commercial Line Extension Fee Waiver: Local and State Qualified Targeted Industry Company or Project are eligible for this commercial line extension fee waiver. Please click here for more details about QTI eligibility.
Reduced Commercial Rates: In an effort to promote energy conservation, KUA cut the rate by 10% for its business customers that use less than 1,500 kilowatt hours of power per month. Over 6,000 business customers saw a reduction in their rates from this energy efficiency initiative.
New Business Start-up Program: Under this program, qualified businesses will be allowed to pay their utility deposit over a 24 month period by KUA. Additionally, program participants, will be reimbursed for their first $500 spent on start-up marketing & advertising.
Conditional Use Assistance Program: Main Street will reimburse program participants for the first $1,000 of the Kissimmee Development Review Committee's Conditional Use submittal fee.
This free City service provides consolidated mapping information. The Geographic Information System (GIS) map provides a range of information from parcel data to the locations of natural resources. FAST TRACK PERMITTING PROCESS
Formal process of a 5 day fast track building permit program for eligible Economic Development projects.
This incentive is meant to encourage the development of new facilities along major City corridors and preferred areas of redevelopment.
This service is meant to assist with the development of new facilities along major City corridors and preferred areas of redevelopment by allowing for the removal of facilities that fail to met safety or aesthetic standards.
In an effort to assist Targeted Industries in their efforts of relocating to our community, the City of Kissimmee will offer eligible Targeted Industry companies a maximum of $25,000 toward the retrofitting of a newly purchased building, for the purposes of upgrading the facility to meet current building codes for ADA or Life Safety standards.
